Sparagmos
In space the gods exist
Moving in stately manner
They speak loud
Between anvil and hammer
Tall, starry citadel, risen proud
To make mortals stammer
Who, fallen in envy and discord, persist
In strife to resist
Their benevolent edict
To live life as animals
Particles in sand castles,
Foundations made of sacrificial bones
Anima beyond whose reason
Poor vision cannot see
Divine will, using
Daylight to give life
Beneath the sea, within
Darkness, from fire
Afterthought cannot kill
Only stir storm
And spirit to be
Reborn of free will.
